This is Uno! Uno is a 10 year old Lesser Sulpher Crested Cockatoo. When he was 2 years old, he was attacked by a dog, and his left wing had to be amputated. After that incident, his owners kept the dogs, and no longer allowed Uno out of his cage. He was brought to Tanya's to find a forever home with NO dogs and with someone who can spend the time teaching Uno how interact with humans again. When he arrived at Tanya's 2 months ago, he arrived with most of his breast feathers plucked out. His feathers are now growing back!! It is important to remember that most birds that pluck, will pluck on and off the rest of their lives. It can be lessened however, by making sure the bird gets plenty of attention. Uno is a curious bird, loves to chew (so he needs to always be supervised outside of his cage).   He loves to be around people, as he is a flock animal and was NEVER meant to be alone off in a cage by himself. Uno will require an extremely dedicated owner who is willing to provide significant and meaningful attention to him since he is a very intelligent parrot, and has been basically left to sit in his cage, alone, for over 8 years.
