OKAY FOLKS! Enough is enough. We've had these two brothers for over a year and a half now. Perhaps what we have written about them in the past has scared some of you off. These guys are in great health! Max had a stint put in his heart, while Freddie wasn't quite up to the surgery. They are very likely to have normal lives in every way, even length. They were simply born with heart murmers that surgery was suggested for. When you adopt ANY animal, you never know exactly how long they'll be with you. These guys must go to a great forever home together. Part of their good long term prognosis has to do with their sibling dependencies on eachother. The only extra care they will need is little doggie EKGs and well-checks on an annual basis. That's about $600 above and beyond normal little boy maintenance. There have been thoudands of inquiries over the last 20 months rearding our boys. Won't one of you please give these beauitiful, playful, otherwise normal King Charles Cavalier Spaniels a home of their own? They are in the general population here with our other adoption dogs and deserve better. Also, that is two less dogs we are able to rescue and place all the time.
The Boys need to go to the same "forever home" as they have been together their whole life and we want their chances to be as high as possible. They will love you as much as they love each other. We are going to make them the exceptions to our normal fee schedule and ask for a $800.00 adoption fee, in part to help demonstrate the adoptor's level of commitment (financial & otherwise) as they need semi-annual heart check -ups and possible further special care.
